Have the BEST colonic EVER!!!
On the day of your colonic, please do not eat anything solid for at least three hours before your appointment. A full-belly is not ideal when receiving a colonic. Liquids such as fresh vegetable juice, herbal tea or water are perfectly fine to consume any time before your treatment. This is, in fact, encouraged! If you are hypoglycemic or diabetic and cannot abstain from eating for that long a time due to blood sugar imbalance, please call or EMAIL us and we'll dialogue.
Furthermore, eating a lighter, more cleansing diet, or fasting for one to two days before your colonic, can be of extraordinary benefit. In fact, taking the time to properly prepare will ensure that you have the BEST COLONIC EVER! This is especially true if you are prone to chronic bloating, digestive upset, and, or, constipation.
Below you'll find a list of tools to assist you in preparing for your colonic. Feel free to implement as many of these gentle, nutritional protocols as you see fit for a minimum of one to two days before your appointment.
Keep in mind that properly preparing for a colonic will benefit the experience greatly. Fasting is NOT essential to the process, but it can greatly amplify the beneficial effects of a colonic. At the very least, choose at least one of the protocols listed above and stick to it. During a colonic we are attempting to remove stagnant and entrenched wastes. The more you put into the process of preparing for your colonic, the more you'll get out of it— literally! Thus, cleaning up your diet, consuming loads more veg, and tweaking things (a little or lot), can make amazing difference... And anyone can do anything for only one or two days!

- Drink more water, eight to ten glasses a day.
- Consume four cups of chamomile, peppermint, and, or, ginger tea a day.
- Remove red meat, dairy products (except butter and plain yogurt), breads, baked goods, pastries, pasta and all processed foods from your diet.
- Eliminate legumes (beans), including peanut butter, one to two days before your appointment.
- Eat mostly vegetables! Kale, collards, chard, spinach, broccoli, beet root, carrots, winter squash, sweet potatoes, and anything else that grows from the Earth— eat that and lots of it. Raw vegetables are not always preferable to cooked vegetables. If raw vegetables tend to cause bloating in your body, consume them lightly steamed, stewed, baked or sautéed in a healthy fat like coconut oil.
- Consume small amounts of whole grains (like quinoa, brown rice, or oats) and, or, a high-quality protein (like wild-caught salmon or organic, free-range poultry) to supplement your mostly plant-based diet.
- Do not over eat, especially late at night!
- If it's feasible, fast, even for twenty-four hours. Allowing the body's digestive tract to rest for twenty-four to forty-eight hours before a colonic can do absolute wonders— allowing greater release and ease of treatment than most anything else!
- If fasting, please consume some type of liquid nutrition either in the form of freshly made vegetable juice, green smoothies or a ready-made, blend-able, organic liquid meal. If you have more questions about this, please call or EMAIL.
- Consume Aloe Vera juice, 2 to 4 times a day, 4 oz each shot. Aloe Vera is an incredibly healing substance that has a profound anti-inflammatory action on the entire digestive/eliminatory tract. Make sure to only buy organic Aloe Vera juice.
- Do not consume any alcohol 24 to 48 hours before your appointment, including wine.
